Many years ago, I bought a Volkswagen Beetle, and my goal was to do a Baja conversion. The project has been on hold for the past few years, but I'm determined to finish the Baja Beetle! These pages contain the progress so far. Click on the topics to view the corresponding photos and text.

Just before I was born, I rode in a Volkswagen Beetle, and my first ride after I was born was also in a Beetle. Perhaps I was already infected with the Beetle virus back then.

The adventure begins, the complete disassembly of the Beetle.

When I bought the Beetle, I thought I had a perfectly good one. But soon the problems became apparent. Rust, rust, and more rust.

After separating the body and chassis, only the floor pan with the wheels remained.

The big moment: sawing off the nose. Then, fitting the fenders, trunk lid, and nose.

I first built an engine stand to hang the engine on. Then I started tinkering.

The door panels and dashboard will be covered in vinyl. The theme will be sun, sea, sand, and palm trees.
