Disassembling the Beetle

Introduction

The adventure begins: the complete disassembly of the Beetle. In a shed measuring approximately 6 by 6 meters, I was able to disassemble my Beetle; there was no turning back.

First, the electrical system was removed. The advantage of a car from 1972 is that it doesn't have many electrical components yet.

I started by removing the fenders and the trunk lid.

Then the hood was removed.

The end result: a body ready for conversion. Everything, including the windows, has been removed. The only thing left is the headliner.
